William ASSANVO

L'auteur est diplômé en Relations Internationales. Il prépare actuellement un Doctorat en Relations Internationales (spécialisation Histoire et Politique internationales) à l'Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales (Genève) et se propose de partager ses réflexions et analyses sur diverses questions d'actualité, de l'histoire et des relations internationales. Les commentaires, réactions, suggestions, bref tout ce qui est susceptible de constituer un plus pour le débat et les vues exprimées sera très favorablement accueilli. Il édite également un blog sur la diplomatie en Afrique: African Diplomacy Observer.

Professional achievements

June 2007-June 2008: Research and IT Assistant. Track Impunity Always (TRIAL), Geneva (Switzerland). In charge of updating the Trial's website (www.trial-ch.org) and its Advocacy Centre (ACT). Writing profiles of persons suspected, accused and trialed for war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity.

 

March-June 2007: Research Assistant Intern. United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR, Geneva). Assisting in the Security Needs Assessment Protocol Project (SNAP). Searching and analysing needs assessment tools developed and used within the UN system.

June-September 2006: Africa Project and Country Forum Coordinator. Strategic Business Meetings (SBM, Geneva)/ TourismAfrica2006 Fair (www.tourismafrica.com). In charge of searching projects, analysing and fitting them for online publication; liaison and relationship with project holder (institutions and individuals); organisation of Country Strategic Forums; liaison and relationship with African countries tourist Authorities.
